Management Accountant (MACC2-19)

Operating within a TPM environment the successful candidates will have day-to-day operational responsibility for setting up, start-up and running the production lines including ancillary machinery and for ensuring that finished products are of the required quality standards.

Reporting to the Financial Controller the management accountant is responsible for assisting with the management of all aspects of the stock management system. An important aspect of the role is an ability to take on ad hoc projects and liaise with other members of the finance team as well as other departments for the achievement of improvement targets.

Candidates must hold or be currently working towards a recognised accountancy qualification and have a minimum of 2 year’s recent and relevant broad based experience.  Advanced working knowledge of Windows based software including Microsoft Excel is essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI and ZAP Bi would be desirable.

Although not essential a degree in Business Studies, Accountancy or similar post graduate qualification would be advantageous. GCSE’s or equivalent at Grade B or above in English and Mathematics would also be desirable.

A proactive approach to problem solving, the ability to work well within a team and direct others towards the achievement of objectives are also key skills.  Experience of working within a manufacturing environment would be beneficial.

Candidates will need to demonstrate strong attention to detail and a proven ability to deliver high quality work within strict time frames and confident written and oral communication skills in this hands on role. You should have a sound financial background with the ability to accurately and incisively interpret financial data, recommend actions for improvement and bring a value-added dimension.
