As part of the £15M redevelopment of Hummersknott School, 15 vented Xlok Ultra runs of varying lengths were specified for both the Arts and Science & Technology blocks to provide natural daylight and ventilation to the surrounding classrooms. Spacegroup Architects achieved a sustainable way of improving the learning environment for students by including rooflights in the design to introduce both natural daylight and superior ventilation, linked to the school’s building management system.
