Hoe Valley Community Building

Hoe Valley Community Building, Mardome Ultra Rooflights

Thanks to rooflights from Daylight Systems, local groups in Woking now have fantastic, bright and ultra modern facilities.  Forty one Mardome Ultra dome rooflights were installed on the new Woking Community Building. The facility, which is located next to Woking Leisure Centre, was built by VolkerFitzpatrick's building division to BREEAM 'Very Good' standard.

The triple skin Mardome Ultras, each measuring 1200mm x 1200mm offer a thermal U-value of 1.8 W/m2K and feature anodised aluminium frames, opal glazing for diffused daylight and powered opening providing natural ventilation.  The domes with direct fix kerb were installed by Gable UK Ltd on a Corus Kalzip standing seam roof, part of which has been planted out in a Sedum green roof from Blackdown.

The facility, which is located next to Woking Leisure Centre, provides a fantastic new home for: the 7th Woking Scouts, Air Training Corp and Army Cadet Force, District Scouts, Sea Rangers, Girl Guides, Westfield Football Club and Woking Boxing Club.
