The Marvault HF barrel vaults were installed by Brett Martin Daylight Systems over the 50 metre swimming pool at Crawley Borough Council’s impressive K2 Leisure Centre providing good levels of natural daylight. Built in 2006, the venue has been chosen as a training ground for the 2012 London Olympics.
The upper vertical end closures of the rooflights have rectangular apertures allowing warm air to be blown along external ducts and onto the underside of the rooflights to help prevent condensation forming.
A large 6m barrel vault was also located over K2's main entrance.
