Woodend Library in Greenford has been transformed into a bright, modern and contemporary 21st Century library with the installation of four next generation Mardome Trade dome rooflights and three Ritchlight skylights from Brett Martin Daylight Systems.
The Mardome Trade domes were installed on a new extension which included a green roof. Glazed in triple skin polycarbonate the domes were specified in opal polycarbonate reduce solar glare and hot spots within the library.
Built in the 1930’s the old library was in real need of updating and three Ritchlight skylights, with a U value of 1.6 W/m2K and glazed in opal polycarbonate, were by Brett Martin Daylight Systems’ installation team to replace old Georgian wired glass skylights, creating a more comfortable and pleasant interior space.
