These rooflights are located over the workshop at BMW's workshop on almost the full length of the 1,000m² building and is prominent on the business park at Shannon Way, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. The skylight was specified to provide three benefits. Firstly, to provide a substantial amount of good quality natural light which is particularly important when repairing the bodywork of damaged vehicles and inspecting the repair work. Secondly, to improve the general working environment, and thirdly, to reduce the need for artificial lighting which will help reduce carbon emissions and the amount of electricity consumed.
The Ritchlight TL21 gable-ended skylight was designed and installed by Brett Martin’s own team.
