Brett Martin Plumbing & Drainage has launched Cascade, a range of cast iron style Rainwater and Soil products in a choice of six heritage colours. With an appearance so close to the traditional material, by specifying Cascade, developers can achieve the look of real cast iron without the price tag.
Engineered from plastic, the Cascade range of Rainwater and Soil & Waste systems meticulously replicates the original detail of real cast iron, imbuing character into pipework, fittings and hoppers to give the appearance of traditional cast iron with all the benefits of modern plastic products.
Providing heritage style without compromising on the architectural integrity of traditionally designed buildings and refurbishments, the range is available in Classic Black, Oxford Blue, Olive Green, Graphite Grey, Sandstone and Porcelain White.
Domestic gutter profiles in Prostyle, Roundstyle and Deepstyle, complemented by a choice of Square or Round downpipes and a range of fittings and hoppers offer choice and flexibility for older building refurbishments as well as for new build projects. For larger buildings there is a High Capacity system. All this is underpinned by a fully sealed push-fit matching Soil system comprising a 110mm soil pipe, a soil stack shroud, access fittings and adaptors.
A broad selection of accessories includes designs such as date stamps, fleurs de lys, lions and other decorative features. Now the full range has been updated with a range of heritage colours, in response to the demand for traditional appearance, modern functionality and sympathy for the subtle nuances of local architectural vernacular.
The entire range is fully compatible with existing cast iron and modern style rainwater systems so it can also be used on projects where replacement of only part of an existing system is required.
“Because cast iron is expensive and difficult to work with, we are delighted to be able to provide a realistic alternative. Our Cascade range looks identical to cast iron but, made of plastic, is far easier to install and maintain,” explains Graham Smith, Sales Director of Brett Martin Plumbing & Drainage, “Often local planning restrictions influence the products that are used on building projects. Our Cascade range has been accepted for use in both heritage projects and in conservation areas. On new builds the main decider tends to be appearance. People place more value on traditional looking buildings. Cascade provides a way to embrace this without the hassle or cost.”
