Brett Martin excited to sign up as PrintWeek Awards sponsor for the second year running

2019 PrintWeek Awards

The Northern Ireland-based rigid plastics specialist sees its sponsorship of the Out-of-Home Printer of the Year category as an investment in the future of the industry as well as providing a significant boost to its own branding and profile

The PrintWeek Awards are the industry’s most prestigious awards – but they’re also quite simply one of the most significant industry events in the UK calendar, so Brett Marin are delighted to  be sponsoring the Out-of-Home Printer of the Year category for the second year in a row.  This category in particular recognises companies that demonstrate excellence and innovation in wide or large format printing, which includes billboard advertising, bus shelters, vehicle advertising, building wraps, experiential marketing and exhibition graphics. Given Brett Martin's own specialism of providing high quality plastic substrates and high level consultation and advice to this market, it provides the perfect opportunity to reinforce the Brett Martin brand and market-leading product range and to support the remarkable innovation and creativity of the UK print industry.

With its comprehensive international distribution network, Brett Martin is the only UK-based company of its kind. It puts great emphasis on sustainability and generates 25% of its power supply through wind and solar. Waste reduction is high on its agenda and Foamalux Xtra, one of the key products in its renowned rigid Foam PVC Foamalux range is made from up to 80% recycled plastic recovered from production and post-consumer signage waste. It comprises a recycled black core, sandwiched between one or two surfaces of premium quality, virgin white PVC, providing the optimum surface for signage and display printing.

The latest addition to the Foamalux range is Brett Martin’s high quality, high performance Foamalux Calibre. With an exceptionally hard, silky smooth finish and an extremely lightweight core, Foamalux Calibre is ideally suited to a wide range of applications in the print, display and signage sectors.  Offering extensive choice, quality and reliability, the Brett Martin rigid plastic media range, truly reflects the best of British manufacturing. Aside from Foamalux, its transparent sheet range, such as Marpet PETg and Marlon Polycarbonate, has earned a global reputation for quality and performance.

Brett Martin takes pride in its products being used as efficiently as possible.  They have been working with a number of global print manufacturers – HP, Agfa, EFI, Jetrix and Mutoh to name a few – as part of an approved print media partner scheme to get our range of rigid substrate products validated for use on their printers. This ongoing scheme aims to deliver better performance from equipment using our products, with tried and tested settings being established which will allow for optimum output.”

Brett Martin’s sponsorship of the PrintWeek Awards fulfills the company’s desire to see print make an impact. This is a creative industry, with the solutions they provide being designed to help printers let their imaginations fly.  At the 2019 PrintWeek Awards, Brett Martin look forward to being inspired and seeing some of the best examples of this creativity rewarded.

Brett Martin would like to take this opportunity to thank all of this year’s entrants and wish all the nominees the best of luck. We look forward to witnessing the discovery of home-grown talent and celebrating greatness in the British print industry.
