Brett Martin has ensured that the newly opened £97million Titanic Belfast building at the heart of the city’s Titanic Quarter has a reliable and trustworthy underground drainage system to ensure the building stands on a dry footing on the banks of the river Lagan in Belfast.
Brett Martin Plumbing & Drainage is the UK and Ireland’s largest independent plastic building products manufacturer and products from its Underground Drainage range were supplied to ensure the new eye-catching Titanic building has a drainage system that keeps it on solid ground.
The Titanic Quarter is one of Europe’s largest and most exciting waterfront developments and has helped transform a 185-acre site into a mixed maritime quarter with a mile of water frontage and a range of apartments, restaurants, offices, bars and other leisure facilities. The development is expected to attract nearly half a million visitors every year from across the world.
The Titanic Belfast building, which was recently opened to the public forms an integral part of the development and boasts a unique design courtesy of leading international Architects and Designers. The state-of-the-art building includes a series of exciting exhibitions for visitors to enjoy and has been designed to bring the Titanic back to life.
Brett Martin’s 110mm and 400mm Underground Drainage products along with the 110mm and 160mm duct pipe and fittings now in place at the Titanic Building are part of a complete Brett Martin Underground Drainage product range for drains, sewers, surface water, duct, access chambers, linear channel drains and gullies. All products are lightweight allowing for ease of installation, robust, durable over time and have excellent chemical resistance.
Brett Martin manufacture many of their products with unique design features including a combined lip and compression seal on many of their fittings which helps against dislodgement and also makes jointing easier.
