StormCrate is Key to Stormwater Drainage at Derbyshire Housing Development

Poplar Farm Stormcrate

The Poplar Grove Development in the village of Lower Pilsley, close to Chesterfield and The Peak District, features eight luxury 3, 4 and 5 bed homes. The developer needed to manage rainwater within the site and prevent flooding during periods of bad weather. A drainage solution that could be integrated within the site was required the StormCrate, an engineered Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) was found to be the solution.

 

110 StormCrates which were used to create a 29m3 underground storage tank, constructed at a depth of 1200mm.
