Apprenticeship Opportunities For Engineering 

Established in 1958, Brett Martin specialises in the manufacture of plastic building products, rooflights and semi-finished substrates for print and display.  A multi-site manufacturing group, Brett Martin supplies material to 74 countries across 5 continents.

We recognise the need to continually invest in training for individuals and in partnership with the Northern Regional College we are offering the following opportunities at our manufacturing facility at Mallusk.

Apprenticeships In Maintenance ( Electrical/mechanical)

As an apprentice you will have the opportunity to learn and develop the range of skills necessary to become a high quality Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician.  You will be provided with a structured 4-year training programme of both on-the-job and classroom/factory based instruction leading to BTEC Level 3 in Engineering.

Applicants must be keen to pursue a career within the plastics industry.  Applicants must have 7 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at Grade C or above to include English, Maths and a Science based subject  

We are also particularly interested in hearing from applicants with A Level qualifications (Science or Maths preferred) looking for a practical path to foundation degree level and a career in engineering.   

As an essential part of the selection process successful applicants will be required to provide the following information:

  • Proof of educational results / qualifications / record of achievement
  • Two references (school / employment)
