Commercial Services Manager 

Location: Mallusk

The Role

  • Manage and motivate the commercial service department including the customer service, production planning and logistics teams
  • Lead the development of processes and procedures within the department and continually review effectiveness of these and implement changes to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Participate in supplier negotiation including identifying and engaging with new suppliers/hauliers were appropriate
  • Prepare and present annual departmental objectives, budgets, scorecards and improvement strategies
  • Manage the business stock and forecasting requirements in conjunction with the Plastic Sheets manufacturing management team to balance inventory control with production efficiencies
  • Manage the logistics team to maximise payload and on time delivery of finished products
  • Report weekly at board level on sales, stocks, shipping and production attainment levels
  • Working alongside our quality assurance department to deliver on the processes within our quality management system and ensure that we are always striving to create an optimal customer experience
  • Collate, verify and analyse data, through our ERP system and improve our reporting using PowerBi

 

Candidate Profile

Essential Criteria

  • Have a third level qualification in business/management or related subject
  • Have a demonstrable track record of successfully performing a similar commercial services management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Manage a team of up to 30 people in an office based working environment
  • Manage relations with suppliers and transport/logistics partners
  • Have experience of staff management, appraisal and development of team members and achieving departmental and business objectives
  • Demonstrate sound commercial acumen alongside control and delivery or improvements in commercial KPIs
  • Have experience of effectively using ERM/CRM systems on sales and logistics environment
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills
  • Have excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Have strong people management skills in leading, managing and motivating teams to achieve challenging targets
