Cladding Contractor:  Unique Envelope Façade Solutions

Product: Marlon Clickfix 1040

Brett Martin supplied 350m2 of its Marlon Clickfix1040 to deliver natural daylight into the sports hall and main stairwell areas of Shelfield Community Academy in Walsall as part of a £22.5 million regeneration scheme.

The brief required a thermally efficient method of introducing natural light into the sports hall and main stairwell areas whilst managing internal temperatures.  Marlon Clickfix met the requirements and provided the ultimate solution with a combination of high light transmission and U-value of 0.99W/m2K, whilst also providing full UV protection.

The Marlon Clickfix VF glazing bar system for vertical façades was used and these were powder coated grey to complement the new facility’s high quality external aesthetic. As an alternative to glass, the system also offered excellent structural durability and impact resistance.
