Brett Martin were delighted to facilitate a workshop at our Mallusk site on Tuesday 20th March for students and teachers involved in The Prince’s Trust Achieve Programme. The workshop gave a behind the scenes look at various manufacturing techniques employed by Brett Martin in the production of different plastic products.

The Prince’s Trust Achieve Programme is designed to engage young people, build their confidence, self-esteem and provide them with core skills for life beyond school. This is achieved via the diverse delivery method of the programme and curriculum content.

Alyson Purvis, HR Advisor and Noel Gourley, Assistant Production Manager, delivered the workshop on the day, where students and teachers learned about the various materials and equipment used in the manufacturing of Brett Martin’s wide range of products. Following the company presentation the students were given a tour of the Injection Moulding Department where they could see the manufacturing process in action.  Following a short question and answer session, each student was given a Brett Martin goodie bag as a keepsake of their visit. We hope that everyone involved with the Prince’s Trust enjoyed their visit and we look forward to welcoming them again.

Noel Gourley, Assistant Production Manager “It was great to welcome members of The Prince’s Trust Achieve Programme to our site here today, it gave them a first-hand experience of the various manufacturing techniques used here on site at one of Northern Ireland’s largest manufacturing sites”.
