Marlon Clickfix1040 creates seamless façade at Malbank School

Malbank, Polycarbonate Glazing System

An outstanding Olympic Boulevard at Malbank School & Sixth Form in Nantwich will be a lasting legacy of a project inspired by the 2012 Games. With its curved roof structure similar to the iconic Olympics Aquatics Centre, pupils at the school have been heavily involved in the design of the £1.2 million project which features two vertical glazed areas in Marlon Clickfix 1040 modular glazing system, allowing diffused natural daylight to flood into this key space.

Approximately 32 glass effect Marlon Clickfix polycarbonate sheets, each measuring 500mm wide and 7m long, were used for the interlocking panel glazing system creating a seamless façade.

Linking Malbank’s sports hall and performing arts centre the Boulevard consists of a health and fitness suite which will be available to the community as well as staff and students. Other features include a family learning centre, ICT suite, internet café and a large space for exhibitions, concerts and sporting activities.
