Foamalux Brings Life Back to Vintage Train

Foamalux Vintage Train Refurb

Signmaker John Diffey, bought a 1916 Great North of Scotland Railway carriage body, with the aim of bring it back to life and to showcase the beauty of the vintage carriage.

This stunning application demonstrates the workability and diverse use of Foamalux White Foam PVC sheet.

The 8mm thick Foamalux White PVC panels were easily bent to the curved profile of the train’s carriage and were secured with stainless steel countersunk screws. The facials were cut with a hand router using templates and were secured with brass pins.

Foamalux was also used for the window frames, the roof strip and the dummy ventilators.
