Brett Martin Announces the Winners of the iAwards

After receiving and considering submissions from all around the world, Brett Martin announces winners of its annual iAwards competition

Leading UK plastics manufacturer, Brett Martin, has published the winners of its iAwards competition for this year. The company called on its global customer base from a range of sectors to submit details and images of their most creative and innovative projects using Brett Martin’s plastic sheet products.

Businesses in architecture, construction, agriculture, horticulture, home furnishing, fabrication, sign and display from as far afield as Australia, South Africa and Ecuador, have been recognised for their outstanding work.

The winners and runners up in each category are as follows:

Architecture and construction

Winner – roof lights and facades

Geplast SRL, Bazaar roof (Romania) –Brett Martin’s Marlon FSX was used for a commercial space walkway covering.

Runner up

Polytech, Revolution Museum (Egypt) –Brett Martin’s Marlon FSX and Marlon ST were used as a lighter weight, easily bent alternative to glass.

Winner – canopies

Ampelite, wharf building (Australia) – Brett Martin’s Marlon CS – Corrugated Opal was utilised for canopy roofing over conference areas and restaurant.

Runner up

Arklit, market building (Ecuador) – Brett Martin’s Marlon ST was used to glaze rooflights and vertical glazing.

Agriculture and horticulture

Winner

Greenhill Systems, Bingham’s Farm (Northern Ireland) – Brett Martins’ Marlon CST was used as roofing sheets to repel heat and offer natural light to a building housing dairy cows.

Lanit Plast, hobby greenhouse (Czech Republic) – Brett Martin’s Marlon ST multiwall polycarbonate was used as the glazing in their range of hobby greenhouses.

Winner

Duroplastic, veranda canopy (South Africa) – Brett Martin’s Marlon Clicklock in bronze was utlised to construct a pool-side pergola

Runner up

Omega Build, Cairn Bar (UK) –Brett Martin’s Marlon clear polycarbonate was chosen to cover the patio entertainment area.

Winner

Peerless Plastics, Anti-microbial desk tops (UK) – Peerless Plastic’s MicroGuardTM anti-bacterial coating was applied to Brett Martin’s Marvec FS to create a hygienic school desk top

Comco Plastics, Playgroun canopy (Northern Ireland) – Brett Martin’s Marlon ST was used to construct a protective canopy for over a playground

Winner

Stadur Produktions, ceiling display boxes (Germany) – Brett Martin’s 1mm Foamalux White was incorporated into a foamboard which was used to construct lightweight ceiling display boxes

RBL, commercial signage (UK) – The 3D parts of this commercial sign were fabricated from Brett Martin’s 10mm Foamalux White
