The specification of a rainwater system at a development of luxury homes and for the conversion of a Grade II listed school into apartments in South East London had to not only meet the aesthetic requirements of the developer but also had to provide exceptional performance and ease of installation to match - Brett Martin’s Cascade Cast Iron Style Rainwater System met the challenge.
Bellway Homes’ Hampton Grange Development in Bromley features 11 luxury detached homes and 20 apartments which form part of the conversion of a Grade II listed former school. To respect the character of the building, Bellway Homes required a cost-effective, high capacity rainwater solution which had the look and feel of cast iron but offered the long-term benefits of plastic and Cascade was the first choice solution.
For the steeply sloped mansard roof of the school conversion, the developer specified the Deepstyle 115mm gutter profile and 68mm round downpipes in Classic Black, which provided the high capacity rainwater requirement and had the authentic detailing and finish they were looking for. The system was architecturally sympathetic to the listed conversion and struck the right balance with the new build homes.
