Jet 2 Hangar - Manchester Airport

Illuminating Jet2.com’s aircraft hangar with Marlon Clickfix panel glazing

Brett Martin’s Marlon Clickfix panel glazing system has been installed within Jet2.com’s new multi‑million‑pound aircraft hangar at Manchester Airport, delivering a robust and high‑performance glazing solution for a large‑scale aviation environment.

Covering over 6,300sqm of floor space, the new facility required a glazing system capable of maximising natural light while meeting demanding structural and durability requirements. Marlon Clickfix VF90 translucent polycarbonate panels, supplied by Brett Martin in Clear Polycarbonate with anodised bright silver aluminium framing, were selected to meet these needs.

A total of 1,441 m² of Marlon Clickfix panel glazing was supplied for the project, enabling high levels of natural daylight to enter the hangar, creating bright internal conditions and helping to reduce reliance on artificial lighting, supporting improved energy efficiency.

Brett Martin’s Marlon Clickfix panels can be produced in lengths of up to 12 metres, delivering excellent light transmission alongside strong thermal performance and UV protection, as well as exceptional impact resistance. This balance of performance and resilience makes the system particularly well suited to large hangar applications where long service life and structural reliability are essential.

The installation demonstrates how Brett Martin’s Marlon Clickfix polycarbonate panel glazing can be effectively used on aviation projects to deliver durable, low‑maintenance glazing solutions that support both functional and sustainability objectives.
