Meridian fish processing plant

This Rosyth-based fish processing facility owned by Norwegian smoked salmon producer Meridian started off life as a print house.

As part of the conversion a series of drainage channels was needed to channel away upwards of 500,000 litres of water flushing through the processing plant each day.

To do this several channels were cut into the concrete floors to lay Brett Martin’s 110mm, 160mm through to 200mm drainage pipes and fittings. The works involved fully testing the drainage layouts to ensure the waste water flowed as required through the pipe networks before backfill was laid.
