Transparent Dome Structure in Romania Using Marlon FSX

This transparent dome structure in Romania was developed using Brett Martin's Marlon FSX polycarbonate to create a spacious, light-filled environment for high-traffic and event-focused spaces, while meeting the demands of exposed outdoor conditions.

Constructed as a geodesic dome with no additional structural framework, the design provides unobstructed views and a clean architectural finish. Marlon FSX transparent polycarbonate flat sheet is UV-protected on both sides and available in thicknesses from 2 mm to 10 mm. Providing outstanding thermal insulation and ensuring reliable performance across a wide temperature range of –50°C to +120°C.

Engineered to withstand heavy snow, hail, and rainfall, the structure incorporates integrated drainage features that channel water away from entrances, ensuring long-term weather resistance and safety.

 Requirements:

  • Lightweight material to simplify installation
  • High transparency for maximum daylight and visibility
  • UV resistance for long-term outdoor exposure
